Casa Musica, The best of Ballroom Vol 18 part 8, Cat No CM-CD022

Just in from Casa Musica a couple of CDs one Latin and one Modern ,Starting with modern CD The best of Ballroom No 18 part 8 Cat No CM-CD-022. As with most of the Casa Musica Cds they are made up of compilations of orchestras and singers.

I have selected a few tracks from this CD (20 tracks in all). From the SEVEN Waltzes, my favourites are "Theme From Payton Place" (Cyril Stapleton Orch) together with a nice social waltz sung by Max Bygraves "My Cup Runneth Over". I also found a very strange waltz called ,,,,,,WAIT FOR IT ""Qi Shi Ni Bu Dong Wo De Zin" sung by a lady called Wang Meiui.... HMMMMMMMM what a mouthful. Both the Tangos are very good "Luna Sobre Los Andes" and "La Gargantilla". If you are looking for a nice social foxtrot to end the evening "You'd Be So Nice To Come Home To" will be ideal.. another foxtrot on this CD would be useful for teachung or social rhythmn "BOOM" sung by Andy Williams... (It's one of those bouncy tempos) To end my review on this CD with a couple of first class Quicksteps "At The Jazz Band Ball" (Victor Silvester) and "Thoughly Modern Millie" (C Stapleton)
