Duel of The Giants

As a cabaret spot the audience had a chance to see a unique match between John Wood/Anne Lewis vs. Sammy Stopford/Barbara McColl. Each team presented 2 shows. John and Anne, Anne wearing a superb black-white dress, started with a very dynamic Quickstep entry followed by a superb Tango-Waltz-Quickstep demonstration spiced up with beutifuly executed lifts. In their second number they danced a simply constructed basic waltz.

Sammy and Barbara surprised everbody with their nun-and-devil number with Sammy dressed as devil. In their second number Sammy told us "The story of my life" while dancing with Barbara a basic rumba: from the basic step, through alemana, spot turns then going to more advanced figures.

Both couples received enormous ovations, however on close examination John and Anne had an edge and were declared the winners of this unusual match.
